- ROH on HonorClub Preview for July 6, 2023
After last week's edition of ROH ON HONOR CLUB featuring a plethora of competitors from New Japan Pro Wrestling, ROH is back this Thursday at 7pm ET/6pm CT with an all-new, stacked edition of the best pound-for-pound wrestling on the planet! This week sees The Kingdom battle The Infantry and Trish Adora in a Mixed Trios bout, Daniel Garcia take on Christopher Daniels, ROH Women's World Champion Athena take on another Proving Ground bout, Six Man Mayhem, The Gates of Agony in action, and more! With DEATH BEFORE DISHONOR 2023 right around the corner, everyone is looking to earn their spot on the biggest PPV of the summer, and this is where it all begins! MIXED TRIOS MATCH... The Kingdom (Maria Kanellis-Bennett, Matt Taven, & Mike Bennett) vs. The Infantry (Capt. Shawn Dean & Carlie Bravo) and Trish Adora The ROH faithful have seen the issues between The Kingdom and The Infantry continue to escalate week-after-week, as Matt Taven, Mike Bennett, and Maria Kanellis-Bennett take umbrage with any new blood coming into “their” Ring of Honor. The final straw for the former multi-time ROH World Tag Team Champions was actually being defeated by Capt. Shawn Dean and Carlie Bravo two weeks ago in Chicago, and that has culminated in this Mixed Trios bout taking place Thursday night. See The Infantry has found a partner in Trish Adora, herself a veteran of the United States Army, who was not going to sit back and continue to watch Maria insert herself in the affairs of Taven and Bennett. Instead, Trish stepped up and did something about it, and when factored into the constant whining and complaining of The Kingdom, led Jerry Lynn to putting Maria into her first match since July 2019, and the first time The Kingdom has fought together since NJPW's WRESTLING DONATAKU event in May 2015! To say that Kanellis-Bennett may be in over her head with this one is certainly an understatement, but The Kingdom is nothing if not tricky, and they will no doubt have something up their sleeve in response to Jerry Lynn's attempt at putting them in their place with this Mixed Trios bout on Thursday night. The Infantry are riding high with that victory over The Kingdom two weeks back, with Adora coming off a victory of her own that same night; can they ride that momentum and their new-found alliance to success over one of ROH's most successful units? We will see this Thursday on Honor Club! ONE-ON-ONE... “The Fallen Angel” Christopher Daniels vs. Daniel Garcia It's been nearly two years since the first, and only, time Daniel Garcia and Christopher Daniels fought inside the squared circle. That night in Los Angeles, it was “The Fallen Angel” who claimed victory, but a lot ahs changed for Garcia since then. For starters, he has thrown in his lot with The Jericho Appreciation Society (although after last Wednesday night's DYNAMITE that seems a bit shaky), and stands as a former ROH Pure Champion, the only title in ROH's history that Christopher Daniels never won it should be noted. Now, as Garcia seems to have sights set on a showdown with Katsuyori Shibata with designs on reclaiming the ROH Pure Champion, he will clash with “The Fallen Angel” for the first time in Ring of Honor! Daniels, the first-ever Grand Slam Champion in ROH history after having won the ROH World Title, the World TV Title, the World Six-Man Championship, and the ROH World Tag Team Championship, is a Pillar of Honor. From the very first main event in ROH history at ERA OF HONOR BEGINS to this very episode of ROH ON HONOR CLUB, Daniels has well-established himself as the measuring stick in Ring of Honor, and if Garcia wants to prove himself worthy of becoming a name spoken with the same reverence, he needs to knock “The Fallen Angel” down this Thursday night. Keep in mind, Garcia also has the Blind Eliminator Tag Team Tournament with Sammy Guevara awaiting him this Friday night on RAMPAGE, not to mention that conversation with Chris Jericho on Wednesday, so he certainly has plenty on his plate, but if he wants this win, Garcia can't let anything shake his focus, otherwise Christopher Daniels will put him away with a quickness. PROVING GROUND MATCH... ROH Women’s World Champion Athena vs. Seleziya Sparx With her Semi-Final match against Willow Nightingale in the Women's Owen Hart Foundation Tournament going down this Saturday night on COLLISION, the ROH Women's World Champion Athena will be in action this Thursday as she welcomes another potential porcelain victim onto The Proving Ground! Thus far no one has been able to beat “The Fallen Goddess” in this realm, in fact no one has been able to beat her in a singles match since ALL OUT 2021's loss to Jade Cargill! Can Selezyia Sparx be the first one to do it? Can she even survive the ten-minute time limit just to earn a future title fight with Athena? Tune in Thursday to Honor Club to find out how it all goes down! ALSO FEATURING: -JD Drake vs. Tony Nese -Six Man Mayhem: Brian Cage vs. Dalton Castle vs. Josh Woods vs. Shane Taylor vs. Trent Seven vs. Willie Mack -Diamante vs. Vanessa Kraven -The Righteous (Dutch & Vincent) and Stu Grayson vs. Macrae Martin, Rip Impact, & Zak Patterson -Big Bill & Lee Moriarty vs. The Boys (Brandon & Brent Tate) -Komander vs. Gringo Loco -Gates of Agony (Kaun & Toa Liona) vs. Action Andretti & Darius Martin Ring of Honor returns with an all-new ROH ON HONOR CLUB this Thursday night at 7pm ET/6pm CT with a stacked event headlined by The Kingdom of Matt Taveb, Mike Bennett, and Maria Kanellis-Bennett facing the trio of Capt. Shawn Dean, Carlie Bravo, and Trish Adora in a Mixed Trios bout! Plus ROH ROH Women's World Champion Athena opens the Proving Ground to Seleziya Sparx, ROH Grand Slam Champion “The Fallen Angel” locks horns with former ROH Pure Champion Daniel Garcia, we've got Six Man Mayhem, The Righteous and Stu Grayson in action, The Gates of Agony taking on Action Andretti and Darius Martin, and so much more! Honor Club is your home for over 20 years of Ring of Honor, including the WEEK IN HISTORY playlist updated every Monday, the Joe/Punk Trilogy, and plenty more content featuring fighters such as Jay & Mark Briscoe, Chris Hero, Claudio Castagnoli, El Generico, Jerry Lynn, and countless others who have helped to define the last two decades of professional wrestling!

- ROH on HonorClub Preview for June 29, 2023
After last week's outstanding Chicago Street Fight between ROH Women's World Champion Athena and Kiera Hogan, ROH ON HONOR CLUB (www.watchroh.com) is back this Thursday at 7pm ET/6pm CT with an all-new, loaded edition of the best pound-for-pound wrestling on the planet! This week we've got a wild Lucha Libre tinged 8-Man tag, La Faccion Ingobernable in action, The Righteous and Dark Order continuing their Stu Grayson-centered rivalry, and Claudio Castagnoli inviting old friend Chuck Taylor onto the Proving Ground! But that's not all; in honor of FORBIDDEN DOOR 2023, Ring of Honor welcomes New Japan back into the fold as members of Los Ingobernables de Japon challenge for the ROH World Six-Man Championship, El Desperado takes on Willie Mack, The House of Torture takes on Roppongi Vice, and The United Empire is in Trios action against Christopher Daniels, Action Andretti, and Darius Martin! This is one of the biggest episodes yet in the new era of honor, and it's available exclusively on Honor Club (www.watchroh.com) for just $9.99/month! PROVING GROUND MATCH... ROH World Champion Claudio Castagnoli(c) vs. Chuck Taylor It's kind of wild to think that in the nearly 20 years they've known each other, Claudio Castagnoli and Chuck Taylor have only ever gone one-on-one three times in their careers! Once in Reading, PA in 2007, once in Joliet, IL in 2008, and once in Rahway, NJ in 2010, with Chuckie T holding the advantage 2-1. In fact, that second bout is also their only singles match which involved a championship, and it was Taylor who walked out with that championship in his possession. Now in the times before AEW, they've been foes and they've been partners, but since Claudio's arrival in All Elite Wrestling, there has been nothing but dominance from ROH World Champion and his BCC allies in their two Trios interactions. Suffice to say, these two men knew each other, and knew each other well, but it's been a long time since that point in their lives, and neither is the same man. As of late, Taylor is more often looked upon for his work as a tag with Trent Beretta, or their trios work with Orange Cassidy, so the Proving Ground concept absolutely applies here, but as a former 2-Time PWG World Champion, as well as singles champion elsewhere throughout his career, Taylor has the ability and skill to pull off this upset. That being said, the version of Double C that we've seen competing over the last years is more vicious than at any other point in his career, and his BCC training has only honed that knife edge. Can Taylor survive the ten minutes? Can he actually pull off the unexpected and pin Claudio's shoulders to the mat? He's done it before, can he make history repeat itself? PROVING GROUND MATCH... ROH Women's World Champion Athena vs. KC Spinelli For nearly 15 years KC Spinelli has been competing across Canada, in the United Kingdom, in the United States, and even in Mexico, to hone her craft in that never-ending trek to become the best wrestler she can possibly be. This Thursday night in Toronto, in front of a hometown audience, Spinelli will not only get to make her debut for Ring of Honor, but she will get to do so against the top dog in the Ring of Honor Women's Division: Athena! Coming into this bout after having beaten Kiera Hogan last Thursday in that unforgettable Chicago Street Fight, and three days later topping Billie Starks to advance in the Women's Owen Hart Foundation Tournament, the AEW Women's World Champion is riding high. She is 27-0 in Ring of Honor competition, has not lost any type of match since a tag on January 30th's DARK: ELEVATION, and hasn't lost a one-on-one match since ALL OUT 2022! Athena seems completely untouchable at this point, whether it be Ring of Honor, AEW, or anywhere else in the world she plies her craft, but KC Spinelli aims to tap into her wealth of experience and find somehow, someway, to pull off the upset. If she can beat Athena, for that matter if she can just last ten minutes with the champ, then Spinelli will earn a future ROH Women's World Championship match. Thus far Madison Rayne has come the closest, lasting eight and a half minutes on the JAY BRISCOE TRIBUTE & CELEBRATION OF LIFE event, but that extra ninety seconds of survival can be an eternity when fighting someone the caliber of Athena. Can Spinelli be the first? Or will she just be the next? TAG TEAM GRUDGE MATCH... Dark Order (Alex Reynolds & John Silver w/ Evil Uno) vs. The Righteous (Dutch & Vincent w/ Stu Grayson) Last week we saw The Dark Order team of Alex Reynolds and John Silver smash through Davey Bang and August Matthews in just under two and a half minutes, but it wasn't the speed at which the match happened, but rather the edge they displayed in dispatching their foes. Clearly the last few weeks of entanglement with The Righteous, and being questioned by Stu Grayson, a man they looked to as a brother, clearly that's hit a nerve with The Dark Order. Will that hint of the edge Grayson has talked about be enough when Alex and John go head-to-head with Dutch and Vincent this Thursday night on Honor Club? A month ago, in Trios competition, The Righteous and Grayson beat The Dark Order quite decisively but that was three men rather uncertain about themselves when it came to fighting their brother. Now though, after being verbally berated by Grayson, after watching him take up with Dutch and Vincent over the men who stood by his side for the last several years, after being beaten by those very same men because of their former friend, there just might be a fire lit inside The Dark Order that The Righteous have only themselves to blame for igniting! Will it be enough for Reynolds and Silver to step up and put down The Righteous? We will see this Thursday night! GRUDGE MATCH... Diamante vs. Leila Grey (w/ “Smart” Mark Sterling) The tensions between Diamante and Leila Grey have rapidly ratcheted up here in Ring of Honor, first with Diamante spurning a “generous” offer by “Smart” Mark Sterling, and then with Grey using Sterling, as well as some rope leverage, to steal a victory on Diamante in their match. Payback's a...you know...and Leila Grey is about to feel that when Diamante steps up for round two this Thursday night! She's prepared for Sterling's interference, she's prepared for the inevitable shenanigans that come with his presence, but is Grey prepared for response her actions have earned? ALSO FEATURING: -Strong Style's El Desperado vs. Willie Mack -ROH World Six-Man Title Match The Mogul Embassy (Brian Cage, Kaun, Toa Liona) vs. LIJ (BUSHI, Hiromu Takahashi & Shingo Takagi) -The United Empire (Jeff Cobb, Kyle Fletcher, & TJP) vs. Action Andretti, Christopher Daniels, & Darius Martin -House of Torture (SHO & Yujiro Takahashi) vs. Roppongi Vice (Chuck Taylor & Rocky Romero) -ROH World Tag Team Champion Lucha Brothers, El Hijo Del Vikingo, & Komander vs. Gringo Loco, Shane Taylor, & The Workhorsemen (Anthony Henry & JD Drake) -LFI (Preston Vance & Dralistico) vs. Mark Wheeler & Vikram Prashar -Big Bill & Lee Moriarty vs. Karou & TARIK Ring of Honor welcomes New Japan Pro Wrestling back to the fold when an all-new ROH ON HONOR CLUB drops this Thursday night at 7pm ET/6pm CT, with a plethora of NJPW wrestlers making their way to the ROH ring! Los Faccion Ingobernables, House of Torture, Strong Style, CHAOS; so many New Japan units are represented this Thursday, and LFI could even walk away as ROH champions when they take on The Mogul Embassy! Plus ROH World Champion Claudio Castagnoli meets an old friend on the Proving Ground, while ROH Women's World Champion Athena welcomes the debuting KC Spinelli onto those Grounds as well. The Righteous and Dark Order will collide, a huge Lucha 8-Man will go down, and so much more to be seen only on Honor Club! Honor Club is the home for 20+ years of wrestling history, including a WEEK IN HISTORY playlist updated every Monday, the Joe/Punk Trilogy, and plenty featuring The Young Bucks, Homicide, Bryan Danielson, Tyler Black, Cody Rhodes, Nigel McGuinness, Kevin Steen, and others who have defined the last two decades of professional wrestling!
- ROH on HonorClub Preview for June 22, 2023
Last week's edition of ROH ON HONOR CLUB saw Samoa Joe retain his ROH World Television Championship over Matt Sydal, The Mogul Embassy retain their ROH World Six-Man Championship against Andretti/Fox/Martin, and Daniel Garcia use The DKC to send a message to ROH Pure Champion Katsuyori Shibata! Plus we heard more from the new ROH Board of Director members, saw Athena turn away another Proving Ground challenger, and so much more as we get closer to the 20th anniversary of DEATH BEFORE DISHONOR, live on pay-per-view from Trenton, NJ on July 21st: This week, the issues between Athena and Kiera Hogan will be settled when “The Fallen Goddess” defends her ROH Women's World Championship in a Chicago Street Fight! Plus, The Kingdom and The Infantry dance once more time, Daniel Garcia will be in Pure Rules competition with former multi-time ROH World Tag Champion Rocky Romero, and we will see The Dark Order, The Mogul Embassy, Kyle Fletcher, Shane Taylor, The Workhorsemen, and more in action! The night begins at 7pm ET/6pm CT exclusively on Honor Club, the home for Ring of Honor's 20+ years of history, as well as brand-new weekly episodes showcasing top tier talent from around the professional wrestling world, all for just $9.99/month! ROH WOMEN'S WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP CHICAGO STREET FIGHT “The Fallen Goddess” Athena (c) vs. Kiera Hogan We've seen the issues between ROH Women's World Champion Athena and Kiera Hogan continue to escalate week-after-week, and it is clear that Hogan has had enough of the champion's behavior, as well as her talk, and is fed up with seeing Athena take liberties after a match with everyone that she defeats. Clearly the time for a traditional wrestling bout between these two women has long passed, and that is why Stokely Hathaway came to the table with a suggestion for ROH CEO Tony Khan: So it will be this Thursday night that, for the first time since HONOR REIGNS SUPREME 2019 (available on Honor Club), and only the second time in the history of ROH's Women's Division, there will be a Street Fight...Chicago Style! The only rule about this one is that the deciding fall has to take place inside the ring, other than that, these two warriors have carte blanche for tables, chairs, kendo sticks, whatever implement of violence they choose to use is fair game, and at the end, whoever walks away with the ROH Women's World Championship in their possession will know they earned it the hard way. Can the score between Kiera Hogan and Athena finally be settled this Thursday night at the United Center? Can Kiera end the domination of “The Fallen Goddess” and usher in a new era for the Women's Division, or will Athena continue to reign supreme over the women of honor? TAG TEAM CHALLENGE... The Kingdom (Matt Taven & Mike Bennett w/ Maria Kanellis-Bennett) vs. The Infantry (Capt. Shawn Dean & Carlie Bravo) The Kingdom of Matt Taven and Mike Bennett, 2-Time former ROH World Tag Team Champions, clearly feel they are owed another shot at the belts currently held by Penta El Zero Miedo and Rey Fenix, in part because of their current 5-2 tag team record in 2023, but also because they never got another traditional shot after The Briscoes defeated them at FINAL BATTLE 2021: END OF AN ERA. Sure they were part of the Reach for the Sky Ladder Match at SUPERCARD OF HONOR 2023, but they never had an opportunity at a traditional tag championship rematch. Well, that night was called End of an Era for a reason, and as Stokely Hathaway essentially said, it's about what they've done today since he's been watching, and he doesn't think it's enough to justify a shot at The Lucha Brothers. Right now The Kingdom's ROH resume includes three straight victories after losing that Fight Without Honor to Action Andretti and Darius Martin, and under special skills it should clearly list “stirring the pot”. So while Bennett and Taven clearly feel they are owed something because of what they've done in the past, The Infantry of Carlie Bravo and Capt. Shawn Dean are more apt to earn the success they're chasing, and it doesn't matter how many times they get knocked down, they will keep getting up for the next challenge. That is why, despite already losing in two previous encounters with The Kingdom, Carlie Bravo and Shawn Dean remain confident, remain hopeful, and remain willing to step up to any challenge. Can The Kingdom go three straight on The Infantry this Thursday night, or will The Captain and Carlie figure out a way to break this streak? PURE RULES... Daniel Garcia vs. Rocky Romero After Wednesday nights tag team victory pitting Garcia and NJPW World TV Champion Zack Sabre Jr. against ROH Pure Champion Katsuyori Shibata and AEW International Champion Orange Cassidy, The J.A.S' Daniel Garcia is right back in action, once again fighting under Pure Rules with eyes towards a future fight with Shibata, as well as thoughts on his AEW International Championship bout this Sunday. But this time not against one of Shibata's pupils, but rather against former 3-Time ROH World Tag Team Champion Rocky Romero! Rocky is no stranger to Pure Rules, over the last two years he is 2-1 under those auspices, including a victory over Lee Moriarty on Episode 10 of ROH ON HONOR CLUB, and was a participant in the 2020 tournament that reintroduced the Pure Championship to the ROH landscape. Garcia, as a former ROH Pure Champion, is also intimately familiar with the rules, so much so that even before he set foot inside a ROH ring, he was bringing those rules to independent promotions where he competed, and finding success. As a defending champion for three months in 2022, Garcia successfully retained the title on two occasions before Wheeler Yuta reclaimed it at FINAL BATTLE 2022, but the desire for the title clearly never left Garcia's heart given that he took it upon himself to confront Shibata several weeks ago, and used his pupil The DKC to send a message. With designs on becoming a 2-Time ROH Pure Champion like Yuta, Garcia enters into this battle with Rocky Romero on Thursday night, but considering the fight he had on DYNAMITE, perhaps another battle isn't the smartest choice, yet it's the best way to insure he's ready for a Pure Wrestling Championship challenge against “The Wrestler” and for his AEW International Championship bout at FORBIDDEN DOOR 2023! ALSO FEATURING: -ROH WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS LUCHA BROS, EL HIJO DEL VIKINGO & KOMANDER VS. SPANISH ANNOUNCE PROJECT'S SERPENTICO, THE BUTCHER & THE BLADE, & KIP SABIAN -GRINGO LOCO VS. WILLIE MACK -TRISH ADORA VS. ALLYSIN KAY -UNITED EMPIRE'S KYLE FLETCHER VS. SILAS YOUNG -ROH WORLD SIX-MAN CHAMPIONS THE MOGUL EMBASSY VS. TRENTON STORM, AJZ & LUKE KURTIS -DALTON CASTLE VS. VARSITY ATHLETES' JOSH WOODS -LEE MORIARTY & BIG BILL VS. MATT SYDAL & BLAKE CHRISTIAN -DARK ORDER'S ALEX REYNOLDS & JOHN SILVER VS. DAVEY BANG & AUGUST MATTHEWS -LEILA GREY VS. DIAMANTÉ -AR FOX , ACTION ANDRETTI, & DARIUS MARTIN VS. SHANE TAYLOR & THE WORKHORSEMEN Each and every week, ROH ON HONOR CLUB drops on Thursday night at 7pm ET/6pm CT, and this week showcases “The Fallen Goddess” Athena and Kiera Hogan battling in a Chicago Street Fight with the ROH Women's World Championship at stake! Plus, Daniel Garcia takes on Rocky Romero in a Pure Rules contest, The Mogul Embassy will be in action, as will AR Fox, Action Andretti, and Dante Martin, and The Dark Order will get back into the fight as well! All that, and plenty more, is coming your way on this edition of ROH ON HONOR CLUB, and it can only be seen on Honor Club, the place for fans to experience ROH's rich history for just $9.99/month! Don't miss out on content such as the WEEK IN ROH HISTORY playlist updated every Monday, NIGHT OF CHAMPIONS from 2003, the Honor Club Exclusives collection, and so much more!
- ROH on HonorClub Preview for June 15, 2023
Last week's edition of ROH ON HONOR CLUB saw ROH CEO Tony Khan name former ROH World Champion Jerry Lynn and Stokely Hathaway to the Board of Directors, as well as Willow Nightingale successfully defend her NJPW Strong Women's Championship against Rachael Ellering, The Mogul Embassy victorious in a Proving Ground match, Matt Sydal make a challenge towards Samoa Joe, and much, much more! This week, two Ring of Honor championships will be at stake when Samoa Joe answers the challenge of Matt Sydal and The Mogul Embassy will face the trio of AR Fox, Action Andretti, and Darius Martin with the World Six-Man Championship at stake! Plus ROH Women's World Champion Athena welcomes another competitor onto the Proving Ground, and Daniel Garcia looks to send a message to ROH Pure Champion Katsuyori Shibata when he faces The DKC, one of Shibata's students, in a Pure Rules battle! The action begins at 7pm ET/6pm CT only on Honor Club, where for just $9.99/month, you've got access to Ring of Honor's 20+ years of history, plus brand-new weekly episodes showcasing great talent from around the professional wrestling world! ROH WORLD TELEVISION CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH... Samoa Joe(c) vs. Matt Sydal For the first time in their careers, this Thursday night on Honor Club, Matt Sydal will step into the squared circle to fight Samoa Joe one-on-one! Despite the several years they simultaneously spent in ROH from 2004-2007, not to mention occupying space on other assorted independent promotions early in their careers, these two veterans of the mat wars have never gone head-to-head. Their only time even sharing a ring prior to this new era of honor took place in Dayton, OH on April 28, 2006 at ROH's WEEKEND OF CHAMPIONS: NIGHT 1 event in a situation where they operated as partners in a Tag Team Title challenge against Sydal's Generation Next stablemates Austin Aries and Roderick Strong. So it will be that this Thursday night, after having failed in a tag team battle against Joe and ZSJ with Christopher Daniels at his side, Matt Sydal will challenge Samoa Joe for the ROH World Television Championship. This fight will mark Matt's fourth attempt at capturing the title, his first bid since a 2017 bout at ROH/NJPW WAR OF THE WORLDS: NIGHT 3, as well as his first ROH title fight of any kind since that May night inside the Hammerstein Ballroom. As for Joe, this bout marks his 12th title defense since topping Minoru Suzuki nearly 430 days ago on the April 13, 2022 edition of DYNAMITE, and his resume includes failed challengers like Christopher Daniels, Trent Beretta, Colt Cabana, and Mark Briscoe, just to name a few. At this point, Joe is the third longest reigning TV Champion since the title's inception in 2010, falling only behind Dragon Lee and Jay Lethal, with the former's reign going uncontested for the majority of 2020 due to COVID-19 protocols. Still, another 40 or so days and Joe will eclipse Dragon Lee's reign as well, but would still sit some 100 days shy of Lethal's 567 spent as World TV Champion. So if Sydal cannot stop the ROH Legend this Thursday, is there anyone who actually can put an end to this reign? Will Joe endure long enough to become both the longest reigning World Champion and World Television Champion in Ring of Honor's history? Joe's already a ROH Hall of Famer, he's already a legendary figure with that 645 day World Title run, and yet he's found a way to continue building that legacy into something greater. Matt Sydal could become legend himself this Thursday with a victory over Samoa Joe, or he could end up just another victim of the Samoan Smashing Machine... ROH WOMEN’S WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP PROVING GROUND MATCH... Athena(c) vs. Trish Adora Clearly Athena and Kiera Hogan are destined for a fight far beyond the scope of a standard wrestling match, the hostility between the two women continues to escalate week-after-week, and eventually the scales will tip into a violence that cannot be contained by the rules. But that moment hasn't quite come, and that fight will not be this Thursday night during ROH ON HONOR CLUB. Instead Trish Adora will step onto the Proving Ground to earn a shot at the ROH Women's World Championship that Athena has held since FINAL BATTLE 2022. In the time since toppling Mercedes Martinez, “The Fallen Goddess” has racked up 10 championship defenses and twenty-five consecutive wins, turning away contenders such as Willow Nightingale, Miyu Yamashita, Skye Blue, and Kiera Hogan on two previous occasions. Athena has become the most successful champion since the title's creation at DEATH BEFORE DISHONOR 2021, and is a little over thirty days away from becoming the longest reigning champion in its history as well. Meaning there are few individuals in pro wrestling on a hotter streak than Athena, and meaning if someone can end it, than that woman's stock will skyrocket in ROH as well as, in this case, put said woman right in contention for the ROH Women's World Championship. And by the standards of the Proving Ground, Trish Adora doesn't have to defeat Athena to earn that title match, she “merely” has to survive for ten minutes to become a contender, a feat only four women have managed to accomplish since Athena became champion, and none of those in Proving Ground bouts. The longest anyone held out there was Madison Rayne at 08:27, so if Trish Adora can even pull off that accomplishment, it would be a landmark moment for her career. Less so for that of the reigning ROH Women's World Champion...and there's no doubt Kiera Hogan will be watching to see how this one unfolds. PURE RULES MATCH... The J.A.S' Daniel Garcia vs. The DKC Former ROH Pure Champion Daniel Garcia clearly wants himself a piece of reigning Pure Champion Katsuyori Shibata, the man who beat the man that beat Garcia at FINAL BATTLE 2022. After “The Wrestler” topped Lee Moriarty on RAMPAGE two weeks back, the Jericho Appreciation Society member confronted Shibata, and then made overtures about the Pure Championship once again this past Wednesday on DYNAMITE when also fishing for an AEW International Championship fight with Orange Cassidy. But before that tag match goes down, Daniel Garcia looks to send a message Shibata's way by taking on one of his NPW LA Dojo students, The DKC. First beginning his career in March 2018 under his full name of Dylan Kyle Cox, DKC began his time under Shibata's learning tree in 2021 after competing on the NJPW Lion's Break events and then NJPW STRONG programming. Last seen in AEW at FORBIDDEN DOOR 2022, this Pure Rules bout will mark DKC's first foray into Ring of Honor competition, and he's doing it with the eyes of Shibata on his work. Will DKC end up as a message from Daniel Garcia for Shibata, or will he show the former ROH Pure Champion what it means to be put through the ring by “The Wrestler” and what representing the LA Dojo means? ROH SIX-MAN TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP... The Mogul Embassy (Brian Cage, Kaun, & Toa Liona w/ Prince Nana)(c) vs. Action Andretti, AR Fox, & Darius Martin Reigning as ROH World Six-Man Champions since FINAL BATTLE 2022, The Mogul Embassy trio of Brian Cage, Kaun, and Toa Liona will make their third defense of the championship this Thursday night against the nascent trio of AR Fox, Action Andretti, and Darius Martin. Now Fox is already familiar with what Prince Nana's trio brings to the table, having challenged for these titles at SUPERCARD OF HONOR 2023 back on March 31st, so at least he has some knowledge he can share with his partners heading into ROH ON HONOR CLUB. And these three men will need every bit of help they can get, after all this is just their second match together as a trio, with their first only happening last week in that victory over The Trustbusters. Fox, Martin, and Andretti are a trio with Darius sitting at the center, his individual relationships with AR Fox and Action Andretti being the tie that binds it all together, but is it a tie strong enough to stop the most dominating version of The Embassy that's ever existed? SIX-MAN MATCH... Stu Grayson & The Righteous (Dutch & Vincent) vs. Dalton Castle & The Boys It is now quite clear that Stu Grayson has fully thrown in with The Righteous of Dutch and Vincent, so much so that he even fought, and beat, his own Dark Order brothers alongside The Righteous. From his words included above, Stu absolutely sees weakness when he looks at what The Dark Order has become since 2019, and it infuriates him to know (at least in his mind) that his “brothers” have fallen so low. This Thursday night, Stu Grayson continues to delve further into what The Righteous have offered as he unites with them once more to take on the former 2-Time ROH World Six-Man Champion unit of Dalton Castle and The Boys! Dalton and The Tate Twins are quite familiar with The Righteous, having defeated Vincent, Dutch, and Bateman at DEATH BEFORE DISHONOR 2022 to begin their second reign as Six Man Champs, but they are especially familiar with Vincent as their rivalry dates back to the man's days with The Kingdom alongside Matt Taven and TK O'Ryan. Over their history, the balance of victories tilt in favor of Vincent when it comes to bouts with Dalton and The Boys, will that continue to be the case in this burgeoning alliance with Stu Grayson, or will the Trios experience edge of the former 2-Time Six-Man Champs be the key to victory? ALSO FEATURING: -The Workhorsemen's Anthony Henry vs. Mark Briscoe -The Varsity Athletes' Tony Nese vs. The SAP’S Serpentico -Skye Blue vs. Viva Van -Nick Comoroto vs. The House of Heathen's Deimos -Miranda Alize vs. Notorious Mimi -The Iron Savages (Boulder & Bronson w/ Jacked Jameson) vs. Rhett Titus & Tracy Williams -Diamante vs. The House of Heathens' Teal Piper ROH ON HONOR CLUB premieres this Thursday night at 7pm ET/6pm CT, and features Samoa Joe defending his ROH World TV Championship against Matt Sydal, The Mogul Embassy defending their ROH World Six-Man belts against Fox, Andretti, and Martin, Athena in a Proving Ground contest, Daniel Garcia in Pure Rules action, and more!!!! ROH ON HONOR CLUB can only be seen on Honor Club, the place for fans to experience ROH's rich history for just $9.99/month, including the WEEK IN ROH HISTORY playlist updated every Monday, BEST IN THE WORLD 2011, the Women of Honor collection, and so much more!
- ROH on HonorClub Preview for June 8, 2023

This week the action gets underway at 7pm ET/6pm CT only on Honor Club, and in addition to the NJPW Strong Women's Championship Match, will also see The Kingdom in action, ROH World Tag Champion Rey Fenix in action, “The Fallen Angel” taking on Aussie Open's Kyle Fletcher, The Dark Order in action after their heartbreak last week, and a ROH World Six Man Title Proving Ground Match! NJPW STRONG WOMEN'S CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH... Willow Nightingale(c) vs. Rachel Ellering Defeating Mercedes Mone to become the 1st champion on May 2st at NJPW STRONG RESURGENCE 2023, Willow Nightingale made her first defense of the NJPW STRONG Women's Championship last Friday night on RAMPAGE. Her challenger that evening was the hard-hitting veteran Emi Sakura, and though she pushed Nightingale to the brink, Emi was unable to dethrone “The Babe with the Power”. As the face of the Women's division for NJPW STRONG, Willow aims to continue raising the profile and prestige of the newly-created title, and thus plans to defend whenever and wherever possible. The second opportunity to do so will take place this Thursday night when Nightingale battles Rachel Ellering for the title! This marks the second-ever match between the two women, the last time around taking place in 2018 and ending in a 15-Minute draw, and at a one point when both were barely three years into their careers. Since then, each has garnered their fair share of experience with a great deal of Willow's playing out in front of the AEW and ROH faithful, while Rachel's took place in Japan's Stardom promotion, as well as under the learning tree of Sara Del Rey in Florida, IMPACT, and all around the independent wrestling world. So when the two meet once more this Thursday night, neither are the same competitor they were back in July 2018, and with the NJPW STRONG Women's Championship on the line, they are fighting for far more than they were five years ago. Can Willow continue to be the champion who shapes the legacy of new title, or will Rachel pick up that mantle and run with it moving forward? ONE-ON-ONE... Aussie Open's Kyle Fletcher vs. “The Fallen Angel” Christopher Daniels Back on the fourth edition of ROH ON HONOR CLUB, Aussie Open of Kyle Fletcher and Mark Davis defeated former ROH Tag Team Champions Christopher Daniels and Matt Sydal as the latter pair began their quest to reclaim the successes they experienced during their 91-day reign in 2006 & 2007. It wasn't Daniels first encounter with the pair, he and Yuya Uemura fell to Aussie Open in the finals of the NJPW STRONG Openweight Tag Title Tournament last year, but given it was on the turf Daniels helped create, and with a former championship partner rather than an unfamiliar one, it stung far greater. Well this Thursday night, “The Fallen Angel” has an opportunity for a bit of redemption when he meets Kyle Fletcher in singles competition for the very first time! With his partner on the mend, and after having to forfeit both the IWGP Tag Titles and the NJPW STRONG ones, Fletcher is flying solo for the foreseeable future. It's not completely alien territory to Fletcher, he did make it to the second round in the New Japan Cup Tournament this year, as well as has defeated both AR Fox and Tony Deppen in singles bouts over the last several weeks on Honor Club. Plus, in AEW competition, he's topped Action Andretti and took the measure of Orange Cassidy in an AEW International Championship match. So while singles competition has not been his preferred method of combat over the last few years, Kyle Fletcher has proven quite adept at it. Can Fletcher continue this ROH singles winning streak against one of the pillars of honor, the first Grand Slam winner in company history, or will the former ROH World, TV, Tag, and Six-Man champion show Kyle just why he is one of the most respected men in professional wrestling today? ONE-ON-ONE... LFI's Dralistico vs. Willie Mack It's been a rough go for Willie Mack since he come to Ring of Honor, he's been frustrated time-and-again in his handful of matches since debuting in this new era with a Proving Ground Match against ROH World Champion Claudio Castagnoli. Since then he's been beaten by Brian Cage, by Konosuke Takeshita, and in his tag team debut with Ninja Mack against The Kingdom. Willie's lone victory actually came against Ninja Mack, a win that served as a launching pad for their efforts as a team, but tag team work isn't Willie's only focus. He still aims for singles success, and that's what he's going for this Thursday night when he takes on LFI's Dralistico! Dralistico heads into this fight coming off a Texas Tornado Tag on DYNAMITE, a bout that did not go in favor of La Faccion Ingobernables, and he's looking to rebound strong with a victory here. Dralistico is 1-0 in singles competition here in ROH, defeating former ROH World TV Champion Tony Deppen two weeks ago, and aims to add another “W” to those record books this Thursday night during ROH ON HONOR CLUB! SIX-MAN CONTEST... The Dark Order (Alex Reynolds, Evil Uno, & John Silver) vs. Shane Taylor & The Workhorsemen (Anthony Henry & JD Drake) After last week's Six-Man loss to The Righteous and Stu Grayson, a bout that culminated with Grayson hitting Nightfall on Evil Uno and leaving him prone for Vincent to make the pin, The Dark Order is back in action this Thursday night against one of Ring of Honor's newest trios. Shane Taylor and The Workhorsemen of Anthony Henry and JD Drake have formed an unlikely bond over the last couple months, splitting a pair of Six Man bouts as they find their footing together. So in facing one of AEW's strongest trios, they are taking on a huge challenge, but this Dark Order unit is also quite shook up after having one of their founding members, Stu Grayson, side with The Righteous over the men he once considered family. What are Grayson's reasons for this move? What's going on below the surface? That remains to be seen, but we will see this Thursday is how Evil Uno, Alex Reynolds, and John Silver rebound from apparently losing their brother. Will this do what no other force, no other loss, has managed to do and break The Dark Order? Or will it strengthen the remaining three men in the face of adversity? ALSO FEATURING: -ROH World Six Man Proving Ground Match: The Mogul Embassy (Brian Cage, Kaun, & Toa Liona)(c) vs. Cheeseburger, Eli Isom, & Marcus Kross -The Kingdom (Matt Taven & Mike Bennett) vs. El Combarde & El Dragon -ROH World Tag Champion Rey Fenix vs. Gravity -Kiera Hogan vs. Robyn Renegade -Mercedes Martinez vs. Vertvixen -Lee Moriarty vs. Griff Garrison -Action Andretti, AR Fox, & Darius Martin vs. Jeeves Kay, Slim J, & Sonny Kiss -Matt Sydal vs. Zack Clayton The newest edition of ROH ON HONOR CLUB drops this Thursday night at 7pm ET/6pm CT, and features Willow Nightingale defending her NJPW STRONG Women's Championship against Rachel Ellering, The Dark Order in action after their heartbreaking week last Thursday, Christopher Daniels versus Kyle Fletcher, The Kingdom in action, Rey Fenix, Gravity, and more!!! - ROH on HonorClub Preview for June 1, 2023
After a jam-packed week of action last Thursday, ROH ON HONOR CLUB returns with THREE championship bouts, including the NJPW World Television Title, Stu Grayson going into battle against his Dark Order brethren, and so much more! The action gets underway at 7pm ET/6pm CT only on Honor Club, where for just $9.99/month, you've got access to Ring of Honor's 20+ years of history, plus brand-new weekly episodes showcasing great talent from around the professional wrestling world! ROH WOMEN'S WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH... “The Fallen Goddess” Athena(c) vs. Kiera Hogan With twenty-four straight victories in Ring of Honor competition, and nine championship title defenses to her record, “The Fallen Goddess” Athena is unarguably the most successful wrestler in this new era of honor. Since she bested Mercedes Martinez at FINAL BATTLE 2022 last December, Athena has been on an absolute tear across AEW and ROH programming, facing every challenge thrown her way, and smashing every, in her words, porcelain doll placed in the ring. But that doesn't mean women will stop trying to be the one to knock Athena off her perch; whether it be a new challenge stepping onto the Proving Ground hoping to earn a shot, or a familiar foe returning for retribution, there are no shortage of challengers for “The Fallen Goddess”. And the latter of those, the familiar coming back for more, that's what Athena has on her hands this Thursday night when Kiera Hogan challenges for the ROH Women's World Championship! See this isn't their first dance, they first met almost a year ago to the day on the June 3rd edition of RAMPAGE where Athena topped Kiera in singles action, and they'd meet in tag team action a little over a month later where then-TBS Champion Jade Cargill and Kiera topped Athena and Willow Nightingale, but that wasn't the end for the two women. Just two weeks after capturing the championship, Athena would make her second defense against Kiera on the 12/26 edition of DARK: ELEVATION, closing out her 2022 with a strong title defense that was just a preview of what 2023 would bring. So while Athena has spent the year of 2023 cementing her position as the most dominant champion the ROH Women's Division has ever seen, Kiera Hogan made her ROH debut just last week with a victory over Vertvixen, but that's not all she did with her debut night. As heard in the above clip from Athena, Kiera, sick of hearing Athena week-after-week and seeing her assault foe-after-foe, made quite an impact on the champion, slamming the champion face first into her own title belt. That bring us to Thursday night's title fight between Athena and Kiera Hogan! If “The Fallen Goddess” is victorious, she will become the most successful champion to date, surpassing Rok-C's records of nine title defenses, and continuing her trek towards surpassing Mercedes Martinez's 220 day reign record. If Hogan can topple Athena, the entire Women's division will be able to breath a sigh of relief that an honorable competitor is once again standing atop the mountain, and Kiera can celebrate knocking one of the best in the business off the peak. ROH PURE CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH... Katsuyori Shibata(c) vs. Alex Coughlin Alex Coughlin came under the tutelage of Katsuyori Shibata five years ago when he entered into New Japan's LA Dojo, and at that time, the likelihood Coughlin would ever fight his trainer was slim-to-none. And yet here we are, a little over six years since it was assumed Shibata would never fight again, and “The Wrestler” is back better than ever, and standing as the reigning ROH Pure Champion after besting Wheeler Yuta at SUPERCARD OF HONOR 2023. Since then Shibata has successfully retained against “The Fallen Angel” Christopher Daniels, and he has united with Coughlin to defeat The Workhorsemen in tag team competition, but it was in the aftermath of that bough that Alex made his intentions for the ROH Pure Championship known. From never dreaming he'd get to fight his mentor in an actual wrestling bout to challenging him for a title that symbolizes wrestling in its purest form, what a journey the last five years have been for Alex Coughlin. But the question is if he can make that final step and become the student who surpasses the teacher? In his handful of fights since returning to active competition, Shibata has proven as deadly as he was before his life-threatening injuries, and even though Coughlin has far more ring time than his trainer over the last five years, Shibata's wars during the time before injury are things of legend. There have been few men more nonchalantly vicious than “The Wrestler” and Coughlin is about to find out first-hand why Katsuyori Shibata was such a feared entity even when it was thought he'd never fight again. But if Coughlin can do it, if he can dethrone Shibata as the Pure Champion, he will know he's earned it, that at least for one night the apprentice surpassed the master, and he can raise his head, and his title, up with pride as the best Pure Wrestler. NJPW WORLD TV CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH... Zack Sabre Jr.(c) vs. Rocky Romero It's been many years since the last time Zack Sabre Jr. and Rocky Romero collided in singles competition, and coincidentally it was during an episode of ROH Television that aired on March 15th of 2019, available here on Honor Club. It was their second singles match, the first taking place some 6 months prior in the United Kingdom, and both were won by Sabre Jr. So now they circle back some four years since their last collision, back to the ring where they last met, only now there is a championship title at stake. This marks ZSJ's third defense of the NJPW World TV Title inside the ROH ring and his 8th overall, as well as Romero's first shot at this championship created earlier in 2023. Rocky is coming into this one having scored victory in his last two ROH bouts, including a Pure Rules victory over Lee Moriarty, but Sabre Jr. is on a red-hot streak in his tours around the wrestling world, coming into this fight having won his last nine singles matches, including four championship bouts, as well as his tag team victory with Samoa Joe last week. This is going to be a rough battle for both men, but by the rules of the championship, Romero has only fifteen minutes in which to defeat one of the greatest technical wrestlers in the modern landscape. Can the former multi-time ROH World Tag Team Champion capture his first singles championship in New Japan since 05-06 reign as IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion under the Black Tiger guise? ALSO FEATURING: -The Kingdom (Matt Taven & Mike Bennett (w/Maria Kanellis-Bennett) vs. The Infantry (Carlie Bravo & Shawn Dean) -Skye Blue vs. Trish Adora -Stu Grayson & The Righteous (Dutch & Vincent) vs. The Dark Order (Alex Reynolds, Evil Uno & John Silver) -ROH World Six-Man Champion Brian Cage (w/Prince Nana) vs. Willie Mack -Kip Sabian & The Butcher And The Blade (w/ Penelope Ford) vs. Bryce Saturn, Jakob Austin Young, & Shogun Jones -Diamante vs. Promise Braxton -Action Andretti & Darius Martin vs. The WorkHorsemen (Anthony Henry & JD Drake) -Bandido, El Hijo del Vikingo & Komander vs. Spanish Announce Project (Angelico & Serpentico) & Jack Cartwheel The latest episode of ROH ON HONOR CLUB premieres this Thursday night at 7pm ET/6pm CT, and features Athena putting her ROH Women's World Championship on the line against Kiera Hogan, Stu Grayson uniting with The Righteous to fight his Dark Order brothers, an ROH Pure Championship bout between student and teacher, and Zack Sabre Jr. battling Rocky Romero over ZSJ's NJPW TV Championship!!! All that, and more, is coming to you only on Honor Club where fans can experience wrestling history for just $9.99/month, including content such as the WEEK IN ROH HISTORY playlist, WAR OF THE WORLDS 2019, the ROH THROWBACK collection, and so much more!
