It's Thursday night once again which means Ring of Honor action is coming your way with the latest edition of ROH ON HONOR CLUB! We watched ROH World Champion Chris Jericho get put down by Tomohiro Ishii this past Wednesday night to close out the trios Fight Without Honor between The Conglomeration and The Learning Tree so one has to wonder how that will impact both men's futures. We also witnessed The Righteous viciously assault the ROH World Tag Team Champions Dustin Rhodes and Sammy Guevara, The Infantry sign on with Shane Taylor Promotions, and Athena survive the Ring of Horror match with Abadon to retain her ROH Women's World Championship! This week we've got another loaded one as “The Fallen Goddess” has called for an Emergency M.E.M, as well as Premier Athletes' Josh Woods versus AR Fox, the aforementioned Ishii facing Aaron Solo, Diamante taking on Rachael Ellering, Preston Vance facing ROH World Tag Champion Sammy Guevara, and so much more with The Infantry, The Patriarchy's Nick Wayne, Leyla Hirsch, and The Righteous! ROH ON HONOR CLUB gets underway at 7pm ET/6pm CT exclusively on Honor Club , your home for Ring of Honor's weekly presentation every Thursday night, plus the only place to experience more than 20 years of the most influential wrestling promotion of the last two decades as demonstrated with our “Best of ROH” section! There you will find collections featuring Bryan Danielson, Nigel McGuinness, Samoa Joe, Claudio Castagnoli, and The Briscoes, with more uploaded regularly!!! ONE-ON-ONE... Premier Athletes' Josh Woods vs. AR Fox AR Fox is a man with a target on his back, and it's not just because he's stepping into the ring with former ROH Pure Champion Josh Woods tonight during HONOR CLUB. It's also because this Saturday on AEW COLLISION he's got a date with The Patriarchy's Nick Wayne stemming from the assault Fox and Swerve Strickland perpetrated on Nick some 15 months ago. Fox knows that is going to be a fight, but he's got to find the ability to focus on the task at hand or this Premier Athlete is going to snap him in half! Woods has had a rough go the last month in ROH competition; he came up short in a Proving Ground match with then-ROH World Champion Mark Briscoe as well as in battle with “The Stone Pitbull” Tomohiro Ishii just last week, but this is a huge chance to rebound for “The Technical Beast”. Josh Woods has demonstrated many times over that he's got the heart and abilities of a champion, perhaps this will be the beginning of the road back to wearing a title around his waist. On the other hand, AR Fox definitely needs this victory under his belt heading into a bout with Christian Cage's “Prodigy” on Saturday night. So the question may be which man needs it more, and which one will dig deeper to see they get the victory on Honor Club? SINGLES MATCH... The Conglomeration's Tomohiro Ishii vs. Aaron Solo Speaking of The Conglomeration's Tomohiro Ishii, just 24 hours after pinning ROH World Champion Chris Jericho in the Trios Fight Without Honor on DYNAMITE, “The Stone Pitbull” is right back in action! Last week's victory over Josh Woods may have been Ishii's first match back in ROH since Jericho's Learning Tree assaulted the man and forced him to return to Japan, but he's still won three straight singles matches in ROH during 2024 in addition to that pin on “The Nueve”. As for Aaron Solo, he looked quite impressive in his Pure Rules bouts with Angelico and Matt Taven, as well as his singles clash with Rocky Romero, but he needs to get on the winning track if he hopes to get near a championship title anytime soon. A victory over this former ROH World TV Champion is just the kind of thing Solo needs to start building momentum in Ring of Honor, but he's going to have to take hits from some of the hardest hands in the game if he hopes to garner a victory. Will Tomohiro Ishii tally a fourth straight ROH victory tonight during HONOR CLUB, or will we see Aaron Solo pull off an upset victory over “The Stone Pitbull”? HEAD-TO-HEAD... Diamante vs. Rachael Ellering Diamante and Rachael Ellering have some history over the course of their wrestling careers. Not only did they meet in tag team competition back on HONOR CLUB #45 at the beginning of 2024, but they also faced off during the 2020 AEW Women's Tag Team Cup Tournament. Both those matches were won by Diamante's team, but their history predates either of those with several singles matches around the independent circuit. Diamante holds the edge in those bouts, 2-1 in one-on-one situations, but it's been over six years since their last meeting and each woman has grown greatly in the interim. Diamante comes to this fight off a 90-second win on last week's HONOR CLUB, and that was on the heels of a ROH Women's World TV Title bout with Red Velvet that ended when Diamante cracked Red across the skull with the title belt. There's no question she wants another shot at the title, but she's going to have to go through Rachael Ellering to get there and Rachael has won three of her last four ROH matches. This is a tough one to call between two of the toughest women in Ring of Honor; who will move forward towards their shared goals of championship success in ROH? ONE-ON-ONE... ROH World Tag Team Champion Sammy Guevara vs. Preston Vance As one-half of the ROH World Tag Team Champions, Sammy Guevara always has a target on his back from teams looking to take what he and Dustin Rhodes have earned. The Righteous certainly put the champions on notice with the assault they perpetrated last week, but Guevara has to lace up his boots and move on because he's got a tremendous fight on his hands tonight on HONOR CLUB! Tonight, for the first time ever, Sammy Guevara will go one-on-one with Preston Vance as the former anticipates a clash with The Righteous while the latter searches for a new direction in his wrestling career. Vance stepped into tag team competition last week with Peter Avalon as his partner, he challenged Lee Moriarty for the ROH Pure Title during HONOR CLUB #83, and neither of those endeavors went in his favor. Perhaps a victory over one-half of the ROH World Tag Team Champions will lead Vance towards the direction he needs to go, or perhaps Sammy Guevara will look to this a way to send Dutch and Vincent a message about what's in store for them! AN EMERGENCY M.E.M!! “The Fallen Goddess” Athena may have survived her Ring of Horror fight with Abadon to retain the ROH Women's World Championship, and extend her record-shattering reign to nearly 700 days, but what about the state of the minions? “Minion Bestie” Lexy Nair may still be standing strong in support of Athena, but it's been clear for weeks that Billie Starkz is not even reading the same book as those two, much less the same page. That's pretty much been the case since Billie lost the ROH Women's World TV Title to Red Velvet at DEATH BEFORE DISHONOR 2024, and Starkz actually took the abuse for far longer than any rational person before finally telling Athena and Lexy she was done. Even after that, following Billie's victory over Blair Onyx, Lexy still tried to recruit Starkz into being there for Athena in the Ring of Horror bout but Billie was having none of it. Not only did she walk away from Lexy, but after Athena's victory Nair was the only one there to help the Women's World Champion walk out of the arena. Perhaps it is all that that's led Athena to calling this Emergency M inion E mpowerment M eeting tonight during HONOR CLUB, perhaps her and Billie Starkz are finally going to have it out about all that's gone on the last four months, but the question is where will they go from there if that is the case? Can these three women find their way back to where they used to be before DBD 2024, or is this the end of the M.I.T? SINGLES MATCH... “The Wrestler” Katsuyori Shibata vs. The Butcher He may be standing on his own in the professional wrestling world while The Blade heals from surgery, but that hasn't stopped The Butcher from continually testing himself against the best of opponents! From The Beast Mortos to Mark Briscoe to LFI, The Butcher has put himself in one hard-fought battle after another in an effort to improve his game, and tonight that continues when he steps into the ring with “The Wrestler” Katsuyori Shibata! Shibata, a former ROH Pure Champion, is 14-2 in ROH competition with his only losses actually taking place on AEW programming when Eddie Kingston topped him in their ROH World Title fight at WRESTLEDREAM 2023 and when Wheeler Yuta defeated him on the 11/25/23 RAMPAGE in a ROH Pure Championship bout. Can The Butcher become the first man to hand Shibata a loss on ROH programming? ALSO IN ACTION: -The Righteous (Dutch & Vincent)! -Shane Taylor Promotions' own The Infantry (Carlie Bravo & Capt. Shawn Dean)! -Spanish Announce Project (Angelico & Serpentico)! -EJ Nduka & Lee Johnson! -“Legit” Leyla Hirsch Returns! -The Patriarchy's Nick Wayne!

Thursday night is here once more and that means more ROH ON HONOR CLUB to satisfy your wrestling needs! After weeks of anticipation, “The Fallen Goddess” Athena will finally face Abadon in an ROH Women's World Championship Match, but not just any match, this one will be a Halloween Ring of Horror Match where Anything Goes and Falls Count Anywhere, not to mention the fact the two women will be chained together at the wrist! Plus former ROH Women's World TV Champion Billie Starkz will be in action, CMLL's Reyna Isis takes on Lady Frost, and Premier Athletes will compete as Ariya Daivari fights Komander and Josh Woods battles The Conglomeration's Tomohiro Ishii! We will also see Gates of Agony, Johnny TV, Diamante, and more compete while Dark Order meets the Iron Savages in trios competition!!! ROH ON HONOR CLUB begins at 7pm ET/6pm CT exclusively on Honor Club, the home for ROH's weekly offering each and every Thursday night, as well as the only place to experience 20+ years of the best in professional wrestling history as encompassed in the “Best of ROH” section! That's your spot to catch compilations featuring Bryan Danielson, Nigel McGuinness, Samoa Joe, Claudio Castagnoli, The Briscoes, and more!!! ROH WOMEN'S WORLD TITLE HALLOWEEN RING OF HORROR MATCH... Athena(c) vs. Abadon Abadon has been lurking around the ROH Women's World Champion for weeks now, putting fear into the heart of “The Fallen Goddess”, causing Athena to jump at her own shadow, to constantly look over her own shoulder to see if “The Living Dead Girl” was lurking, and quite possibly the reason why Athena's championship celebration has been delayed nearly 50 days since she broke Samoa Joe's 20-year record as the longest-reigning title holder in ROH's history. Tonight there is no more running, no more ducking or dodging the threat that Abadon represents to the ROH Women's World Champion, because tonight they will be chained at the wrist in a Halloween Ring of Horror Match where anything goes, falls count anywhere, and the ROH Women's World Title is on the line! During the course of her reign, Athena has survived a 2-of-3 Falls Tables Match against Nyla Rose and a Chicago Street Fight against Kiera Hogan, but over the course of the last 691 days she has not experienced anything like this Ring of Horror match set to take place tonight during ROH ON HONOR CLUB! Abadon brings a sense of uneasiness to every fight they are involved in, the feeling that something horrific could happen at any moment, and when the World Title is on the line with absolutely no rules constraining them from unleashing said horror, this may just be the last night Athena calls herself the “Forever Champion”! That being said, if Athena somehow survives the hell Abadon is set to unleash, who is left to step up and challenge her for the Women's World Title? She's already put down 23 challenges to her title from 19 different women, not to mention turning away 32 potential challenges in Eliminator/Proving Ground bout, so if not Abadon than who? That's a question that may pop up come Friday morning, but for now the one that must be posited is what to do about Abadon? How does one survive a Ring of Horror against a competitor who embodies that word? PURE RULES... Undisputed Kingdom's Matt Taven vs. Aaron Solo There is only one title in Ring of Honor that Undisputed Kingdom's Matt Taven has never held, a title with rules unlike any other in the promotion, rules that Taven himself has never experienced: the Pure Championship. By the time Matt Taven had his first match in ROH, the Pure Title had been unified with the ROH World Title by Bryan Danielson, seemingly making the possibility of Pure Champion Matt Taven a pipe dream. All that changed in September 2020 when the tournament began to crown the first Pure Champion since August 12, 2006, making it a distinct possibility Taven could become the only man to hold every title in company history, yet he never set foot into the Pure Division, let alone wrestled a single match under Pure Rules. Tonight on HONOR CLUB that changes as, coming off a tag team victory over ROH Pure Champion Lee Moriarty and Shane Taylor six days ago on RAMPAGE, Matt Taven takes on his first-ever Pure Rules bout against Aaron Solo! Stylistically the Pure Rules suit Solo, but this will be just his second contest under those guidelines, his first taking place during HONOR CLUB #78 just two months ago, so he's still understanding the intricacies of how the Pure game can be played. Will this be the night where Solo steps up a level and takes down a ROH Grand Slam Champion, or will it be Matt Taven who secures his first Pure victory and perhaps moves closer to a shot at Lee Moriarty's championship? ONE-ON-ONE... Premier Athletes' Ariya Daivari vs. Komander Coming off his failed ROH World Television Championship challenge against “The Machine” Brian Cage, Komander is right back in action looking to earn another shot! This time around he faces Premier Athletes' Ariya Daivari in their first-ever meeting inside the squared circle. Overall Komander is coming into this fight with three wins in his last four ROH matches while Daivari comes in off a loss to Sammy Guevara in his last ROH singles match. Can Komander rebound strongly or will Daivari be able to turn Komander's championship defeat into a victory of his own? TAG MATCH... BEEF & JD Drake vs. Peter Avalon & Preston Vance Last Friday on RAMPAGE we saw JD Drake step up to BEEF's side in lieu of his Workhorsemen partner Anthony Henry's injury, accompanying him to the ring for his fight against The Beast Mortos, and though that singles outing did not go BEEF's way, Drake is standing by BEEF's side for this tag team battle against another impromptu duo: Preston Vance and Peter Avalon! While BEEF and Drake have nothing in common save Anthony Henry, Vance and Avalon don't even have that, all they've got are a handful of matches as opponents while Vance was still with Dark Order and Avalon rode with JD Drake as The Wingmen. It was a little over two years ago that Vance, under his Ten moniker and alongside Evil Uno, defeated Drake and Avalon in tag team competition, but now the roles are all mixed up and everyone here is looking for their place in the grand scheme of ROH. Will Drake and BEEF gel as well as Henry and JD, or can Avalon and Vance get on the same page to score a victory over these tag team partner-in-laws (or something) by marriage? TRIOS MATCH... Dark Order (Alex Reynolds, Evil Uno, & John Silver) vs. Iron Savages (Boulder & Bronson) and Jacked Jameson Dark Order has been in pursuit of the ROH World Six-Man Championship titles for months on end, facing Dustin Rhodes and The Von Erichs in an Eliminator Match at DEATH BEFORE DISHONOR 2024 last July where the winners moved on to fight Undisputed Kingdom at BATTLE OF THE BELTS XI to crown new Six-Man Champions. Dustin, Marshall, and Ross were victorious that night, and since then Dark Order have been engaged with “The Natural” in one form or another, be it alongside Sammy Guevara as part of the ROH World Tag Title picture, or with the Von Erich boys. Yet in their last ROH outing, Alex Reynolds and John Silver were able to take down the duo of Jacked Jameson and Boulder in the latter's first Ring of Honor match as a tag team, but that doesn't mean Iron Savages are down with Dark Order yet. Tonight during HONOR CLUB the whole of the unit, Jameson, Boulder, and Bronson, are gunning for the full Dark Order in trios competition! Can Iron Savages prove the dominant trio when fighting all together, or will it be the experienced edge of Dark Order that wins out tonight in this clash of potential championship contenders? ONE-ON-ONE... Premier Athletes' Josh Woods vs. The Conglomeration's Tomohiro Ishii The last time we saw Tomohiro Ishii in ROH competition, the former ROH World TV Champion was putting down Ariya Daivari and Tony Nese over the course of a few weeks in August. Shortly thereafter Chris Jericho and his Learning Tree took out Ishii, forcing him to return to Japan to recover, but also take part in NJPW's ROAD TO DESTRUCTION 2024 tour in September, the ROAD TO KING OF PRO WRESTLING 2024 tour in October, as well as the ROYAL QUEST IV event at London's Crystal Palace. Through that all, he only took part in one singles match, a RevPro loss to Luke Jacobs with the Undisputed British Heavyweight Title on the line, but now he's ready to get back to competition here in the states as evidenced by this past Wednesday night on DYNAMITE as seen in the above embedded video. It was just about two years ago, during Jericho's first reign with the ROH World Title, that “The Stone Pitbull” wore “The Ocho” out with his heavy hands in their ROH World Championship bout, and it looks like Ishii wants another shot at Jericho now that he's “The Nueve”! That quest begins tonight as Ishii tries to go through Josh Woods during HONOR CLUB while Woods looks to rebound from the Proving Ground loss to Mark Briscoe he suffered in his last ROH singles bout! Will Ishii make a case for being the first challenger for Jericho's second ROH World Title reign or will it be the former ROH Pure Champion who starts to make his case for a World Title challenge? ALSO IN ACTION: -Lady Frost vs. Reyna Isis! -Billie Starkz! -Diamante!! -Gates of Agony!!! -Johnny TV!!!! -And More!!!!!!!
- Chris Jericho Captures the ROH World Championship
ROH World Championship Ladder War Match! The Conglomeration’s Mark Briscoe (c.) vs. “The Learning Tree” Chris Jericho! Briscoe tossed a ladder into the ring. Briscoe grounded and pounded Jericho, going right at Jericho, first with the ladder, and then with the fists. Briscoe shoulder tackled Jericho off the apron, sending Jericho crashing down through two tables at ringside! Briscoe chopped at Jericho, taking all his anger out on the “Learning Tree.” Jericho blocked a suplex attempt and countered with a snap suplex onto the arena floor. Mark rallied back but Jericho gouged Mark in the eyes. Mark Briscoe knocked Jericho back down, propping Jericho onto a ladder outside the ring. Briscoe threw his body at Jericho, but Jericho jumped out of the way! “Unbelievable impact on that ladder!” said Daddy Magic. Jericho went to climb a ladder in the center of the ring, but Mark was undeterred, pulling Jericho down the rungs. Jericho bashed Briscoe into the face of Mark Briscoe. Mark was busted wide open! Jericho began to climb the ladder again. A bloodied and battered Mark Briscoe wasn’t done yet. Briscoe planted Jericho with a Death Valley Driver onto a ladder that was propped against the corner turnbuckles. “This has become so deeply, deeply personal for Mark Briscoe,” said Excalibur. Mark climbed the turnbuckles but Jericho blindsided Mark with a ladder shot! Mark shoved Jericho to the mat and followed up with a senton onto Jericho! Both men traded strikes atop the ladder. Mark Briscoe pushed the ladder with perhaps his last surge of energy, knocking Jericho and the ladder down! The fans chanted “This is awesome! This is awesome!” The ROH World title dangled high in the air while Mark and Chris brawled beneath it. Jericho tried a running bulldog on a ladder, but Mark countered, shoving Jericho onto the rungs. Mark climbed to the top of the ladder, looking down at Jericho, who was knocked across a table. “The Bad Apple” Bryan Keith ran down to interfere, but The Conglomeration’s Rocky Romero sprinted to the ring to even up the odds! Mark Briscoe jumped off the top of the ladder with the froggy bow elbow drop! Mark decimated Jericho with the Jay Driller! Mark climbed to the top of the ladder, on the verge of retaining, but “the Redwood” Big Bill got into the ring and choke slammed Briscoe off the ladder and over the top rope, through tables on the arena floor! Big Bill put Jericho on his shoulders, assisting Jericho, and Jericho grabbed the ROH World title! And new ROH World Champion… “The Learning Tree” Chris Jericho! Tomohiro Ishii’s music began to play! Ishii walked onto the ramp with Rocky Romero! Rocky shouted, “He’s back!” “Give a huge assist to Big Bill because Jericho would not have captured that ROH World Championship without him!”

Thursday night is upon us once again and with that comes the latest edition of ROH ON HONOR CLUB featuring a Proving Ground bout between ROH Women's World Champion Athena and Lady Frost, plus Yuka Sakazaki versus Viva Van, Nick Wayne in action, MxM Collection returning to Ring of Honor, and Spanish Announce Project in tag team competition! Plus, after WRESTLEDREAM 2024, it looks like there's a new King of Television in Ring of Honor: ROH ON HONOR CLUB gets underway at 7pm ET/6pm CT exclusively on Honor Club, your home for ROH's weekly offering every Thursday night, as well as the place to experience over 20 years of pro wrestling history, featuring competitors such as The Briscoes, Adam Cole, Jay Lethal, Kyle O'Reilly, The Young Bucks, and more, as well as fresh content dropping weekly in the “ Best of ROH” section! PROVING GROUND... ROH Women's World Champion Athena vs. Lady Frost It has been 539 days since Lady Frost last stepped into the ring with “The Fallen Goddess” Athena, and remarkably that match during HONOR CLUB #9 was also a Proving Ground battle! At that point Athena was just 138 days into her record-shattering championship reign, but even at that point, the second-longest reigning Women's World Champion in ROH history. That night in Pittsburgh, Athena dispatched Frost in a little over five minutes, shattering the woman's hopes of earning a future championship match via 10 minute draw. Since that meeting Athena has gone on to turn away 19 additional Proving Ground challenges, bringing her grand total of Eliminator/Proving Ground victories to 31 matches. Add that to her 22 successful title defenses over the last 677 days, and there is no question that Athena is the backbone of ROH at this moment. That being said, it seems all that success has gone to her head because since DEATH BEFORE DISHONOR 2024 in July the champion has only fought three-matches, with just one of those being a Proving Ground bout, choosing instead to focus on throwing the perfect celebration for her record-setting championship reign when she's not running in terror from Abadon. She's alienated Bille Starkz, overly praised Lexy Nair for even the smallest thing, and seems rather unfocused on the prospect of competition. Perhaps that makes her easier pickings for a challenger as hungry as Lady Frost, not easy mind you, there is no reality where “The Fallen Goddess” would ever be an easy foe but perhaps an easier fight than it would be if she was 100% zoned in on the fight at hand. Will we see Athena fail on the Proving Ground for the first time in her historic reign, or will Lady Frost come up short tonight as she did back in April 2023? SINGLES MATCH... “The Magical Girl” Yuka Sakazaki vs. Viva Van It's been six months since we last saw Yuka Sakazaki compete in Ring of Honor, a victory over Leila Grey during HONOR CLUB 61, and though it took place prior to the injury suffered in her RAMAPGE bout with Emi Sakura, it actually aired several days after. That victory over Leila was one that “The Magical Girl” hoped was the start of her road back to contention, to earning another shot at Athena and the ROH Women's World Title though ideally with a better outcome than their SUPERCARD OF HONOR 2023 fight. Unfortunately it was Yuka's last broadcast match before her return on the September 14th COLLISION, but the good news is that she has a second opportunity to build her ROH resume and it starts tonight against Viva Van! It's been about two months since Viva's last ROH fight, a loss to Harley Cameron during HONOR CLUB 77, but she's had several tastes with the top in her handful of ROH bouts, including a Women's World Championship match with Mercedes Martinez and participating in the ROH Women's World TV Title Tournament, not to mention vying for the CMLL World Women's Title the night Willow Nightingale claimed it for herself, but just a taste is not enough! Viva wants a title to call her own, so Yuka is in for a fight tonight during HONOR CLUB! Will “The Magical Girl” have a successful return to ROH competition or can Viva Van score the first victory of her ROH experience? ONE-ON-ONE... AR Fox vs. Jack Cartwheel Ahead of his fight with Ricochet this Saturday night on COLLISION, AR Fox returns to ROH competition against a man he faced in a pair of Four Corner Survival matches earlier this year, but he's never fought one-on-one: Jack Cartwheel! We haven't seen Cartwheel in ROH competition since HONOR CLUB 58, but he's been a busy man competing all across the country, in the United Kingdom, Australia, Mexico, and of course his All Elite Wrestling bout against Nick Wayne. Now he's bringing all that experience back to Ring of Honor in hopes of squashing any momentum AR Fox hopes to build before his Ricochet bout. It's a big night for both these men; who will rise to the occasion? SINGLES MATCH... Willie Mack vs. Komander ***WINNER EARNS ROH WORLD TV TITLE MATCH*** It's been a minute since we last saw Willie Mack in ROH competition, a victory over Exodus Prime on HONOR CLUB 81 but he's back in action tonight with a fight against a man he's quite familiar with from AAA combat, as well as their lone ROH meeting in the aforementioned Four Corner Survival with Cartwheel and AR Fox. Komander is coming in on a three match ROH win streak, definitely on a roll as he aims towards the World Television Championship held by “The Machine” Brian Cage. Can the high-flying luchador continue to soar to victory, or will Willie knock him down to the ground tonight on HONOR CLUB? ALSO IN ACTION: -Atlantis Jr. vs. Jon Cruz! -MxM COLLECTION! -The Patriarchy's Nick Wayne!! -Spanish Announce Project of Angelico & Serpentico!!! -And More!!!!
- ROH Mourns The Passing Of Joe Koff
The AEW & Ring of Honor Family, along with the wrestling world, mourn the passing of Joe Koff. Our thoughts are with his family and his friends.
- Brian Cage Captures the ROH World TV Championship
ROH World TV Championship Match! Atlantis Jr. (c.) vs. “The Machine” Brian Cage! Cage spiked Atlantis with a spinebuster in the center of the ring. Cage rattled Atlantis with a jumping knee strike. Atlantis connected with a diving cross body press. Atlantis followed up with a tope suicida. Atlantis cracked Cage with a thrust kick, followed by a frog splash for a near fall! Cage countered a hurracanrana from the top rope with an avalanche power bomb. Cage clobbered Atlantis with a discus lariat and then a Drill Claw, pinning Atlantis Jr. and becoming the new ROH World TV champion!

Ring of Honor Wrestling is ready to bring the action tonight during HONOR CLUB where ROH World Champion Mark Briscoe will be in Proving Ground action against former ROH Pure Champion Josh Woods, The Infantry will take on Shane Taylor Promotions in tag team competition, and ROH Women's World TV Champion Red Velvet will put her title on the line against Diamante! Plus we will see Lance Archer in action on the heels of joining The Don Callis Family, the former Women's World TV Champ Billie Starkz will be in action as well, and we hear NJPW STRONG Openweight Champion Gabe Kidd is coming to ROH for the first time with an Open Challenge laid out on the table! ROH ON HONOR CLUB begins at 7pm ET/6pm CT exclusively on Honor Club, the destination for ROH's weekly programming as well as the home for more than 20 years of pro wrestling history, featuring men like Samoa Joe, Bryan Danielson, Nigel McGuinness, ROH World Champion Mark Briscoe, former ROH Pure Champion Josh Woods, and a special surprise dropping today in the “Best of ROH” section that will not put you to sleep! ROH WOMEN'S WORLD TV CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH... Red Velvet(c) vs. Diamante Diamante and the ROH Women's World TV Champion are no strangers to one another, they've been going back-and-forth in All Elite Wrestling since 2021 and the February 9th edition of DARK match won by Red Velvet. Yet in the three-plus years since that encounter, the two women have only clashed one other time in head-to-head competition, and that took place on the 6/1/21 edition of DARK in another bout where Red was victorious. They've had tags and trios since, even a Four Corner Survival during HONOR CLUB #49 earlier this year, but not another one-on-one contest before tonight. Tonight they meet once again, only now the ROH Women's World TV Championship will be on the line in Red Velvet's first defense since defeating Billie Starkz at DEATH BEFORE DISHONOR 2024. She's turned away Proving Ground challenges from Allysin Kay and Lady Frost, but now that the title is actually on the line, can the champion have the same success? Diamante is coming into this with a 47 second victory in her last ROH bout just a few weeks ago, not to mention that brutal Lights Out victory over Leyla Hirsch in July and the subsequent Texas Death Match at DBD '24 shortly thereafter, matches that took time off her career, but honed her to a deadly edge. Are those experiences what Diamante needed to finally put a title around her waist in Ring of Honor? We will find out tonight when the ROH Women's World TV Championship is at stake! PROVING GROUND... ROH World Champion Mark Briscoe vs. Premier Athletes' Josh Woods Though he's got a ROH World Championship match with Chris Jericho set for WRESTLEDREAM 2024 in just two days, Mark Briscoe is stepping onto the Proving Ground with one of the top grapplers in pro wrestling today: “The Technical Beast” Josh Woods! A former ROH Pure Champion, for nearly eight years Josh Woods has demonstrated to the ROH faithful why he's a competitor to be feared, making his initial impact by winning the 2017 Top Prospect Tournament and stepping into the ring during that first year with foes like Jay Briscoe, Shane Taylor, Hangman Page, Jay Lethal, and even challenging then-ROH World TV Champion Kenny King for his title. With each passing year of ROH competition, Woods grew stronger and more confident in that ring, bringing his impressive technical skills to bear in the 2020 ROH Pure Championship Tournament where he defeated Kenny King and PJ Black before being eliminated in the Semifinals of the tournament. Even though he fell short in the tournament, Woods kept his devotion to the Pure Division strong by competing in Pure Rules contests at every opportunity, leading to him laying claim to the title at DEATH BEFORE DISHONOR 2021! For 201 days Woods reigned as champion, amassing seven defenses in competition both in ROH and around the independent wrestling landscape, before finally being dethroned by Wheeler Yuta at SUPERCARD OF HONOR 2022. Since then he's challenged Samoa Joe for the ROH World TV Title, Claudio Castagnoli for the ROH World Title, and Katsuyori Shibata for the ROH Pure Championship. He's won 10 of his last 12 one-on-one contests since that Shibata fight, and now looks to earn himself another shot at the ROH World Championship in this third Proving Ground match of his ROH career. He's 0-2 in the previous Proving Ground outings, one a Four Corner Survival and the other a Six Man Mayhem, and 0-3 in previous head-to-head battles against Mark Briscoe, but all that was before the Premier Athletes were part of his life, before the assistance of “Smart” Mark Sterling, Ariya Daivari, and Tony Nese became a concern for the men Josh Woods fought. Can this be the night Woods breaks his losing streak to Mark Briscoe and earns himself a shot at the winner of this Saturday night's match at WRESTLEDREAM 2024? TAG TEAM BATTLE... Shane Taylor Promotions (ROH Pure Champion Lee Moriarty & Shane Taylor) vs. The Infantry (Capt. Shawn Dean & Carlie Bravo) This isn't the first dance between Shane Taylor Promotions and The Infantry; in fact the second match Lee Moriarty fought at Shane Taylor's side took place during HONOR CLUB #33 last year and The Infantry stood as their opponents in battle. The Infantry came back from that with an eight-man tag victory four weeks later at HONOR CLUB #37 which in turn led to a STP victory in Three-Way Tag competition on HONOR CLUB #45, and culminated their tag team rivalry in a 2-of-3 Falls battle won by STP at HONOR CLUB #46. HONOR CLUB #50 also hosted an eight-man victory for the STP, Cole Karter, Griff Garrison quartet, but since then both teams have gone their separate ways in Ring of Honor. So consider tonight's tag team bout a rivalry renewed as Capt. Shawn Dean and Carlie Bravo once more step onto the battlefield with Shane Taylor and ROH Pure Champion Lee Moriarty! The Infantry are coming into this after a frustrating loss to The Outrunners last week while Taylor and Moriarty are 5-0 in ROH tag team competition, including those three victories over The Infantry; can Capt. and Carlie finally score a victory over their ROH rivals or will it be another week of disappointment as every team in ROH is jockeying for a shot at ROH World Tag Champions Dustin Rhodes and Sammy Guevara! NJPW STRONG OPENWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP OPEN CHALLENGE... Gabe Kidd(c) vs. ???? Gabe Kidd has reigned as NJPW STRONG Openweight Champion for 151 days since defeating Eddie Kingston at NJPW STRONG RESURGENCE 2024 in their No Rope Last Man Standing fight. Kingston has been on the shelf since that battle while Kidd has gone on to defend the title against both Ultimo Guerrero and Lio Rush, as well as challenged Kaito Kiyomiya for the GHC Heavyweight Championship in Pro Wrestling NOAH, fought in the 2024 G1 Climax Tournament, battled in RevPro, fought on the UK leg of CMLL's FANTASICA MANIA 2024 tour, and of course thrown down in NJPW with his BULLET CLUB War Dogs. He's been a busy man, fighting everyone he can and instigating everyone else, but tonight it's time for Gabe Kidd to make his ROH-proper debut and what better way to do so than by laying out an Open Challenge for his NJPW STRONG Openweight Title! This isn't Kidd's first dance with ROH; he actually challenged Jay Lethal unsuccessfully for the ROH World Title back in December 2018 on an independent show in London and fought Kingston in a Continental Crown match for NJPW STRONG at BATTLE IN THE VALLEY 2024 where the ROH World, NJPW STRONG, and AEW Continental titles were all at stake, but tonight will mark his first match inside an ROH ring. Who will answer the call and step up to challenge the most unhinged competitor in New Japan Pro Wrestling? Watch the above embedded video to find out...
